To get the sound performance of a true Bang & Olufsen system, the BeoSound 8 incorporates custom-made speaker units with strong and efficient neodymium magnets and custom-made digital amplifiers to drive them. To further optimize the sound you can select one of three settings (wall, corner, free) on the manual room adaptation switch, which adjusts the performance of the speakers based on their placement in the room.
Ease of use

BeoSound 8 offers simple and intuitive operation. Simply dock your iPod, iPhone or iPad on top of BeoSound 8 or connect another device using the AUX line-input or USB port (for your computer). BeoSound 8 wakes up when it detects sound coming from a connected device. You can easily control it by the docked iPod/iPhone/iPad; by the buttons on the dock; by the dedicated remote that's included.

The cone shaped speakers give BeoSound 8 a magical hovering 2D appearance as it hides the actual depth of the speakers. Also the feet lift it up for an even slimmer effect.
